3rd Dec 2018 – Singapore – On 31 October 2018, Ocean Network Express (ONE) operated container carrier, NYK Nebula, safely rescued a distressed Canadian-French sailor from a yacht with torn sail in the North Atlantic Ocean.

NYK Nebula was navigating the ocean when the vessel received a distressed call from the yacht requesting urgent assistance. NYK Nebula immediately deviates course and launched a rescue operation for the affected yacht.

Within less than 2.5 hours upon receiving the distress call, the rescue operation was declared successful.

After the rescue operation, NYK Nebula resumed her sea passage to Southampton and there was no delay caused in this situation.
