Varna-based Stargate Bulgaria is taking over the management of car carriers owned by Japanese shipping giant Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha (K-Line), according to Maritime.bg. K-Line, founded in 1919, is one of the three largest Japanese shipping companies.
On January 12, in the presence of Japanese Ambassador Hisashi Michigami and representatives of K-Line’s senior management, a new Stargate Bulgaria office will be opened in Varna.
K-Line has been present in the Bulgarian market for 26 years through its Stargate Maritime company, which provides consulting and recruitment services for maritime professionals.
Initially, the Bulgarian company will take over the management of nine Japanese car carriers, with the possibility of increasing that number by the end of the year. In 2025, Stargate Bulgaria is expected to take over the management of two LNG-powered ships.
